Especially when someone puts "Dead Space" as game to look forward to over RE5...You don't even pay them any mind. I mean you literally blink three times and ask for a taxi to get away from them.
"Dead Space"? Seriously? "Dead Space"?...Wow...just...Wo w
Xbox live as an excuse to add $ to it. Having live Gold is an "option" not a requirement. You can play many games without having live. Of course having a full experience Live is the cake. Yet you look at the average person and how long does $50 last, and you look at the service for live then you are getting a whole more for your buck. If you choose to spend on that feature.
They are not the same because of their price difference. The PS3 remember was slashed by $100 dol...
The systems are like the three bears. The Xbox 360 doesn't offer the same things as a Wii or PS3, but it's just right. From online to the game content. You can't deny that it's a great system. So if his argument is that a new price point will show that this is the case. Then to a certain extent I can agree. I doubt if Sony will do a price drop this year, but early 2009 might be a smart time to do so. At least right before Killzone 2 drops. Look at the sales for the PS3 over the past couple of...
Microsoft made announcement like that in economic times like this is just fuccing wrong even if it biz as usual. Have the damn grace to let these guys work with some piece of mind and security instead the threat of a pink slip...
on the software side baffles me sometimes. Sure you don't want the overhead, but honestly its not like you have an overload of in house developers. If you can keep Rare around, for heaven's sake Ensemble deserves a place at the table too. Maybe they plan on putting more money and talent into Lion Head. That would be a great move I wouldn't argue with.
Also Dlacy made a damn good point about the PC side of things. Except if you read David P's rant on GameStop CEO shyt talking. Th...
wish this was a rant. But when you hear EA say they backed the wrong horse. Then you walk into a game shop, or defacto electronics dealer seeing all that Wii shovel ware. We better take it serious. When Barry Diller says he'd like to get into gaming, we need to be hot damn scared. Cause the flood gates don't mean great games content taking years to nurture. Please believe they don't want the MGS4, Halo 3's, RE 5, Killzone 2's to succeed. It means they'd actually have make viable products. <...
it's corny. Means they don't really like what they are doing. I mean what's the purpose of having everything painstaking detailed if you are going to fart in it's face? People will say well it's only a game. True, but being focused is much more of a story then recognition of nothing. You don't have to tell me its real or fake. The power button on my system does that for me.
The line Ortega put in is cool and all, but honestly would he ask the same question in Iraq? It's a scifi g...
Saying that this is impossible or would be bad. I would say that Vivendi and Activision would take the Wii route, and they would have to be ok with suffering a loss, as people will have to get used to a new kid on the block. Not to mention places like Japan are not kind to outsiders, just ask Microsoft. FPS and games like Spiderman are not going to draw in the FF crowd, not by a long shot.
I mean with Intel courting folks, what if Activision said hey, you offer us a cheap way to...
Skate was dope...I mean liquid crack people, and just better than TH. I know, I know who would have thought EA could make good sport games? So I'm really looking forward to Skate 2. By the way I rented Skate for eons, I just didn't trust EA enough to support the game. Which they didn't, but I'll be getting Skate 2.
This game is going to be crack, I don't care how many people are working on it. Make it spectactulish and I will be there day one. Next generation RE...stfu, and be blown away...
Dumb! Are we really taking color of a great franchise to a diversion of what the game play will be like? I mean who will care if the game sucks? Some people are just useless with their hangups. Color in Diablo 3 is such a mute point. Just don't make the fuccer black and white, and I'm good.
With the amount of money it takes to make a game people really need to understand that the word has to get out there. Where do you guys think the money comes from to make the games we love? A hat?
Gaming is an experience you can't over hype something like video games. Because at the end of the day it either is fun or not. What you guys may be mad about is that the attention rarely seems to go to games that warrant hype. That you have lay on who is behind it and what they do tryi...
Sales. I don't want to see Sony leave the gaming market either. Yet their arrogance with the PS3 this generation is really what did it for them. They were forward in technology, not in customer, and developer relations. Which goes against what Sony did with the Playstation. They did everything Nintendo and especially Sega refused to do. Which was make sure they meet the standards that worked for everyone who had a stake in the system.
Does not deserve these price cuts. It's a slap in the face to the rest of the world. Especially for a declining game market. No disrespect, but Japan isn't a nation of gamers anymore. There is no real reason why the system should not have been selling. Microsoft has been pandering to them, and hopefully it pays off. Yet me as a consumer I have lost a lot of respect for what the country represents as a gaming culture. I still rock out with the developers. Thanks to them, and good luck.
There are so many ways for them to tackle game publishing that it just depends on what their goals are as a publisher. One thing is for certain, they will shake up the status quo. Which I don't know if we need or don't need, but could be fun to watch play out...
I mean we have yet to see this card in action. Let alone the fact that Project Offset has been in development for so long. It almost feels like all the Halo commotion before Microsoft got exclusive. Remember all the hype of it as a new PC FPS for the ages? Perhaps this game can be that for Intel and Larrabee.
8 months for that title was a feat. You gotta let haters hate though. Also Infinity Ward did such a great job, I'm pretty sure that Activision knowing how much they need this franchise to be top notch on the sales tower. Communication between the two development houses on the title was paramount. Only makes sense. Looking forward to this game. If this game nails it like COD4, then "Killzone 2" or any other FPS coming out in the next 10 months is going to be in the fire. This is the ...
